So, the stupid @#|^* panic alarm has decided to go off randomly. Happened a few nights ago at 5am. Heard it might be to do with remote, so I took that apart, still happened.

Heard potentially it can be due to a problem with battery, so got a brand new battery yesterday.

Now it's 3am and the fkn thing has just gone off again. I dunno what to do.

Have just tried doing the thing in the manual to deprogram the remote, though I can't see how that will help. I'm going back to bed, but I'm sure it'll go in another half hour or so.

For a bit of quiet disconnect the horn and you may need to take it to an auto electrician or Ford if still under warranty

I took it to an auto electrician yesterday, they weren't much help, and of course it didn't go off then.

It hasn't gone off since I deprogrammed the remotes. Also, managed to a second remote tucked away in a drawer. I'm hoping this is the one that's been causing the problems. Have taken the battery out of that one, so I'll reprogram the first remote and see how we go.

Do the remotes just separate along the edges easily? Might be time to put new batteries in after 5+ years.
