Once you add the pump, lines, fitting, wiring, relays and then the tuner's labour to install, I think it would be a lot closer than that

So even if it did cost u $1000 (which l highly doubt it would), you would still buy a PW, KPM, or Plaz for $1000 -$1200 before you've even payed to have it installed...honestly, it shouldn't really cost that much. The amount of money that some of these guys are charging to install a surge tank is just a rip off...don't get me wrong, I'm sure they make an excellent product (and I know they do because I use them), but there are cheaper options that will work just as well if not better, and you'll have money left in your pocket for other things...like fuel lol

It's all about convenience and quality - you can do anything cheaper, but do you get the result?

The KPM BA intank unit is $895 and comes with everything you need to install it yourself, so yes, perhaps the PW and Plaz units are expensive, however they are still selling....

I understand what you mean about convenience, and I do understand that you get what you pay for, but not everyone in the world can dedicate their entire salary to their vehicles...lots of people have other sh*t to pay for, trust me I would love to spend all my money on my car all the time but I have other responsibilities...I'm just trying to get the point across that there are cheaper options and if you get a kick out of doing stuff to your car yourself then it's nice to have less expensive alternatives that do the job just as well. If I had all the money in the world I would use companies like KPM and Process West all the time but I can still get a surge tank and install it for $600, plus I get the satisfaction of knowing that I've done it myself...each to their own but it's nice to know there are alternative ways of doing things without having to fork out stupid amounts of money to people who are only in it for profit...

You bag people and say they are only in it for profit, you are the same by admission so what makes you any different to them?

I gather what I typed in bold is not a complement and a little stab.
