G6Et Gps Maps - Need Help

Hi Guys,

I've got a G6et 09 which when I bought came with the built in gps which has saved me around melbourne many times so far.

now that the maps are getting old I was hoping someone might no a cheaper/free place I could get them rather than paying for $900 for the ford ones.

anyone know if the 09 models use a disc or a SD card, because when I spoke to ford recently they couldnt even tell me, but they could tell me how much they wanted to charge me.

the maps I have are voodoo but I believe there are now garmin maps available???

any help would be appreciated.

Sat nav is in passengers footwell - just above kick panel. If its a factory system, it uses sensis maps. They were doing them for $160 from the sensis website recently

Hey just brought a 09 model but it I don't think it have GPS well I can't find it if it does ?

There will be a remote control for the sat nav, if the car has it installed

How did you go did you find where it is? My old ba xr6 had it in the boot driver side under the carpet and was a disc maked whereis

I want to update the GPS system in my G6Et and I have searched the footwell of the passenger side as advised but cannot find anything that resembles a GPS system, how would I update this, is it a case of sending off to whereis and spending $199 on a new disk, then how easy is it to install. Any advice would be most welcome.
