Yeah fair call Benny!! - What sort of numbers will you be looking for in a tune?... will you want to go a little safer and keep it around the 350-360rwkw mark?

I think much more than that requires injectors anyway....

I have injectors ready to go with the flash tuner in the garage. I wont be aiming for the most power that is possible but would prefer to have reliability. So with that is mind I'm thinking 400rwkw will be sufficient and safe without risking engine failure.

In preparation , what I have learned , is that the power levels for the GT in standard trim is around 270rwks, a dyno tune pulls them up to 360rwks at a cost of ~$1800.. There are small gains in cat back exhaust system of around 5 to 10 rwks .. Upping the blower speed does very little and same of intercooling - although helpful as confirmed earlier by KPM .

Others with first hand experience , will be able to shed a more accurate summary of costs - v - rwks - v - reliability .

I for one , am keen to hear from those in the know , and whom have moved away from standard trim to modded

GT in standard trim seems to be averaging between 310 and 330rwkw depending on the dyno. Tune only will see the limit of injectors which is around the 370-380rwkw figure. To make much more power than that overdriving the blower is required and good gains can be made. If you don't drive the blower harder then you can't make more boost. There is only so much power that can be made by opening the bypass valve more. Certainly good power can be made without intercooling but more can be made with one, plus there is improved reliability with more consistant power production.
