You need to fix the problem that's causing the overboost, cat or actuator, the ecu controls overboost by cutting cylinders, its not causing the problem

Tee into the vacum line for the factory BOV. You'll on;y ever see +ve pressure in the wastegate actuator line.

haha cheers for the heads up. I wonder if the turbo actuator and vacumm lines are the same length :D.

The car seems to be cutting out worse now. If I drive the car easy until I get it fixed it shouldnt damage the car at all?

Make sure hose is connected to the front housing of the turbo just under intake pipe. I did the same thing years ago, gave the solenoid a clean then took it for a spin ran really well but would go into limp mode under full boost turned out the hose I spoke of before had come off resulting in no boost control.

Just put a walbro fuel pump in the car and anywhere past 3,000rpm when the car is under load it shutters and seems to struggle for fuel. Only thing I can think of is that the fuel filter at the bottom of the pump wasn't a perfect fit and it might be a bit squashed, possibly restricting fuel? Really frustrated at this point as it was supposed to fix this problem and it only seemed to make it worse. Any advice is welcome.

lines on correct nipples on the cradle, will still run if back to front.failing this double check the hose used on the walbro is sucured and not kinked.

Pretty sure the lines are right. Will check but should be right. I put hose clamps on either end of the hose that replaced the old one. I was a tIny bit long but not enough to kink it. The hose wasn't the tightest fitting hose ever, I highly doubt it would be leaking but could this possibly be a problem. I will but some different hose tomorrow and try again.

Update: the car is currently running 6psi (normal) and was running better. Spluttering rarely, figured there was a line somewhere loose and dropping pressure. Today while working on the car I found that one side of my turbo smart waste gate had screwed itself loose so it may have been dropping pressure. also I installed a home made cold air intake at the same time as the walbro pump. Don't know if any of this would affect the problem

Is it not odd that the problem has occurred after installing the pump? The problem was similar before but now it is far worse, no power after 3,000rpm, lots of shuttering
