Hey guys, was wondering if anyone could tell me whether the standard fuel line from the 044 is -6an or -8an as I'm going to buy a 1 way check valve cause I've always had problems with long starts which I'm assuming because it's siphoning back which this should stop.

Also is $45 reasonable for a Aeroflow one way or do u guys have any other recommendations?

Cheers

I don't think that is your problem, Many many people on here have surge tanks with 044's, never heard of this problem before..

Just think you may have some other problem and might be wasting time and $ in the wrong area

-6 is what a standard screw in check valve is off an 044 pump, I have two on my surge tank (for twin pumps) and they are -6. Check out MSCN in Seven hills they have them but they are more than $45 each http://www.mscn.com.au/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=471

Kk sweet, from what I've read on other forums people have found it has helped quite a bit when starting as it keeps the pressure after shut down but then people also argue that it should prime quick enough when u go to start... I don't really know but figured it was worth a try

Thanks for that unclewal but I live in dee why so I may aswell just eBay it

Ill let u guys know if it changes anything

Learn something new everyday :)

I would have thought it primed enough at the start to allow a good start up though?

So I put the one way check valve in on Sunday and I haven't had one problem with starts since so I think it fixed the problem. If I have any problems with long starts again and this was all just coincidence ill post up

Just to update since installing the check valve I haven't had one problem with start ups and that includes not driving the car for 12 days and it starting up straight away no fuss.

Thanks for the help with the size and opinions guys
