He says that I have to replace the valve stem seals also. When I get the valve springs from a supplier what do you get? Do I use the stock retainers. Do I need to buy valve stem seals separately etc. ?? He also said that the rubber ones are no good? Not sure about stem seals. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/80725-valve-stem-seals/#findComment-1259316 Share on other sites

Not sure if they can be bought separately. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/80725-valve-stem-seals/#findComment-1259333 Share on other sites

It is not a prerequisite for fitting new springs, but if more than a couple of years old, definitely worth doing. Motor is about to click over 280,000km. Try Burson's for valve stem seals if you really need them. I bought some for my RB26 yesterday for $150 but that was trade price.
