Hey guys first post here and have been reading stacks on here in the last few weeks so thanks for that. Anyway quick question regarding looking after my soft cover, what products are people using to keep there covers looking nice and new?

I noticed mine looked awesome when I picked it up a few weeks ago but the same night heavy dew on it left a real oily residue in spots and ran down the paintwork too. just wondering how to avoid that but keep the nice black look to it, cheers for any help :)

After washing the ute, including tonneau I tend to spray and wipe it with silicone spray. Comes out nice and black last for a while and helps waterproof slightly.

The runs on the paint work is nothing to worry about. Its because the tonneau is dirty to any water running off of it is dirty as well. To keep it clean just wash it well with the rest of the car and once it is dry apply "303 Aerospace Protectant." Its a non-silicone dressing that provides UV protection, a nice matte finish and is also anti-static so helps keep the dust off. I dont use my tonneau daily but would expect the dressing to last for about 3 months for those that do.

Wenier, silicone is not great to be using on the tonneau, it will increase the dirty runs in the paint when it rains, it actually collects dirt faster and your car will be a nightmare to paint if your ever unfortunate enough to have an accident.

Surprisingly enough the silicone spray I use doesnt have the effect with attracting dirt or leaving marks on the paintwork, most likely because I wipe it in rather than just applying it.

hey Fg_Turbo_Ute, do what Rancidpunx said.

I wash mine with a sponge, high pressure clean it to get all the dirt out of it afterwards. I also use the 303 product.

as mentioned its just dirt running down the paintwork. shows up badly on my white ute.

I actually think glitterbahn sells it. they only stock one or two bottles of it. its where I got mine at the time.

or most good car detailing places will stock it.
