well guys now seeing I have the car in my hands I'm after a few answers in relation to what mods I would like to do.

1. (relocate battery to other side of engine bay, where the air filter is)

do I need to get made a new bracket so that the battery is tight & wont move what have you guys done?

anyone got a rough price?

2. (wanting to remove all the restriction's (air flow) & do this below, air box on the left. where can I get an air box like this or do I need to get it special made?

been reading about dose pipes etc which I'm wanting :) after doing this does it affect the computer as there is a lot more air flow?

3. looking at upgrading the cooler/kit which I have read about. just wanted to know where will be the cheapest place to buy from in sydney?

also are the stock pipes smaller then & upgraded cooler kit?

4. is it best to go coil overs to have it right down on it's ass or super low king springs which may still be above the tyre? if coil overs what price will I be looking at?

5. whats the name of the strip which has 5 clips connecting to the front of the bonnet? the GE Turbos have a chrome one wouldn't mind having a chrome one also!

I would have ask the same questions above if I was to go on a cruise with you guys!

any help would be great.

will do a donation to the site also :)~

1 & 2. 4" intake and battery relo kits are sold in kits from process west, plazmaman, nizpro, and site user Stainless makes a good kit too. Some users do this with no tune with no dramas. The flutter is loud as fark when tuned with some decent boost!

3. Hdi cooler is cheapest, pretty sure there on ebay. Coolerworx seems to be the best piping kit to go with these coolers.

4. It takes SSSL springs to get the tyre on top of the gaurd, these cars seem to barely drop. Coil overs are definitely better, but your looking at closer to 2k+ compared to $500 for springs.

there's a couple of different types air boxes you can get rapid, process west..if your in sydney's west plazmaman is probably your best bet high quality gear all bolt-on mod's when it comes to the turbo side airbox and battery relocation kit (yes bracket is provided, and looks much neater than that battery setup)

they have a range of intercooler kits abit pricey but awesome quality...if you head out to wetherill park they can even put the car on the hoist and take you thru step by step what you need to do and show you how its done...and dont be fooled by the prices on the net.....cash talks

yea I seen them companys just wanted to know what you guys use & price's :). I seen people saying the cheap ebay coolers heat up easy etc?

yea I reckon I should get the SSSL's for the rear & SSL's for the front? or SSSL's on the front also? is there any pic's with the difference in heights? I read the fg lowering also

yep I'm penrith area. bolt on's sound good as it will be me & a mate doing the upgrades. good to know the air box comes in a kit makes it so much easyer. as for the cooler kit I don't want to spend heaps like over 2K etc as I'm not going for monster power just a better flowing one which will be better for the tune after a few mods are done like air box zorst etc

something like this below

$2700 for the Rapid V2 kit that includes everything you want. Although I've been told it is too big for the fg xr turbo. If you want low on an FG you need to look at ssssl rear and sssl front although I think the front is still slightly too high. Good for getting up and down driveways though. Talk to Pat from Wholesale. Alternatively ebay is selling xyz coil overs for $1600 now.
