Boot Mounted Surge Tank And Twin 044S

Have bought a 2l surge tank and two 044s to put in the boot. Anyone know what the go is with running the the pumps to the fuel rail? Should I be y piecing the two pumps and then sending one -8 line to the rail and another -8 line from the reg back to the surge tank? Will I be able to do this or do I need a new rail and reg? Also running the line from the intank to the surge tank and the line from the surge tank to the fuel tank...Whats the best way to do that?

The last fuel setup I did on a car I just gutted the whole original setup and ran all new lines, trying to avoid all the hassle and expense this time so if I can utilise some of the original hardware I would be stocked

Cheers

What are your plans with this car and why the twin pump boot setup? Is this a daily driver or a weekend toy?

If you are going to the trouble of setting up a twin pump in boot setup why would you want to use the factory rail and regulator or tiny little factory lines? They are built to handle the little factory pump and not a great deal more with good reliability. I understand the cost angle but from a performance and return on investment angle dont even bother trying to use it, more headaches than its worth an after market FPR and rail will be required and a much better and safer option but will cost you more in new lines and setting it up. It can definately be done the way you want but I dont see the point in getting twin pumps and feeding into factory everything else.

Quick and easy solution depending on your desired outcomes for the car, grab a process west system or Plazamaman system and plug it into the factory lines and away you go. Up to you, just my 2c worth.

I originally wanted a twin pump tube setup from process west but they seem to have discontinued that line? I had a look on plasmamans website and cant find a twin pump surge tank. I see there rail though which im keen on. If I can get one of there setups that mount up the front then I will be stocked as I wont have to run lines up to the front.

Wanting an e85 tune with around 430-450, worried the single pump wont do it...

I thought the 1.6l surge that mounted next to the gearbox could hold two pumps? But then Im not sure if that would be big enough for 450rwkw on the strip or track :/

The process west one? Maybe I should chuck them an email

speak to Kev from Process west, they still have them on special request, the normal single pump surge has all the fittings required to make them twin pump setups, I bought a single pump and got kev to send me the parts to make it a twin pump setup. Drop him an email and he will sort you out. Either process west or plazmaman rails are brilliant. what I do recommend you do is get all teflon braided lines when you plumb it up to the new rail, the push fittings are a pain in the ass and make your car stink like petrol. I can send you photos of my setup if you like. Speak to Kev or Plazmaman and sort out the surge you want,I am sure both of them do it, ring them and check but I bought one from Kev no problems.
