Great...just what I need. As if I wasn't paranoid before ;) Big Brother is watching!!

It's ok mattB it's only something they are toying with at the moment.Looks like it may be too expensive a system to have on all vehicles.May be reserved for the High end vehicles(LTD & Fairlane) similar to what Holden(oops, can I say that word here?)have on there prestige vehicles.

Yep, those of us that want to mod our chips and not tell Ford about them in fear of losing our warranty have a lot to fear.

Oh well, I wonder if I can turn my T into a Stealth.........where is that grinder, got to remove those edges.........Damn, no good. Sattelite is too clever, time to toss out that ECU.:nod: :banghead:

As for the wireless diagnostics, well they're already here.It works similar to the Bluetooth mobile phone systems. The only problem for the advisors is they actually have to plug the transmitter/reciever into the diagnostic connector. What you really need is the advanced Tellematics system that Ford are toying with. Then you wont even need to take your car to the dealer. They can simply access you vehicles electronics via sattelite.

And they can't find an idling problem?

Whatever

Went to start mine today and got the backfire and puff, cloud of smoke from the engine bay (which got sucked into the air con and blew around inside. It ran roughly for 20 secs and came good.

No one at Ford has been able to help me with this. If it keeps it up its going..........its the second motor I have had.

Dallas.

What FORDTECH's saying is quite right, if the techs don't know where to start looking for the problems what should they do....start randomly replacing parts until it's fixed, that's unfortunately never going to happen.

FORDTECH and the other techs on this forum are only trying to help us out with our problems and if your not prepared to listen to their advice don't make posts asking for any information.
