Hi guys,

Wondering if any one could let me know if there is any difference between a 2008-2009 FG XR6 turbo as I am in the process of buying one or the other

Some 08's had pretty bad build quality.

Then again they got a locking fuel cap which the 09's I don't think did.

Rego is nothing to go by either. Look on the vin plate for its real age.

Oh and the bluetooth was upgraded in 04/09.

Get the premium ICC. The std monochrome one is so bad it's not funny.

bluetooth was upgraded again on 10/09 builds to C module, the one that works with iphone's

They constantly revise things slightly and release software upgrades etc. so in that sense it makes sense to go with the latest one you can afford. Also the warranty is a good thing even if only a few months so you can get any issues sorted straight up.

Dunno about utes Brenno but the sedans got a locking fuel door in around 09 I think, it's a pin that drops down into the door/flap/thingo in-line with your central locking.
