Hi all,

A while back I ordered a XR6T sedan with the luxury and at the time I was told "You can still change options on it, if you put a deposit down we can secure the exact one you want".... so I ordered it in the colour I wanted and in manual. I was told it's be *maximum* 5 weeks. About 3 weeks in I was told my car was getting sprayed and it'd be ready on the 5th or 10th of September... apparently 'Ford have two computer systems and no one knows which gives the correct information'. Those dates then turned into the 8th and 17th... and now I'm being told they have no idea when it'll be ready because they can't source the luxury pack wheels.

They've BS'ed me so many times over the last month I don't know what to believe... Can a car enter production without all the parts available? is it possible for a car to be sprayed then 4 weeks later they're unable to find wheels for it? Are they able to give me a set of temporary wheels so they can honour their delivery date then switch over to the correct wheels once they come in?

Has anyone else ordered the XR6T with the luxury pack and are also waiting on the wheels?

(btw, I don't even know what the luxury pack rims look like, I get conflicting information.... anyone got a pic to confirm them?)

Am I being taken for a ride?

Thanks!

Theyre very nice wheels that's for sure. Not sure what theyre doing giving u all these exvuses etc. I cant imagine theyd be putting cars on the line without all parts ready to go. I have read a few people say when theyre being effed around, rang the dealer and threatened to cancel the order and possibly get legal action. Somehow their car has arrive very soon after. How coincidental..!! Lol

Best of luck with it all and keep us updated..

People should try and do what happens in the aircraft industry and sign the contract for a new car on a particular delivery date and if it is late for every day it is X amount of dollars that are deducted from the final price.

So when you think about it airlines love a late plane as it makes it cheaper.
