Henz is 100% right. If you are going to modify mate (especially tune) then protect the engine/gearbox first, and do it properly.

Rather than waste money on CAI and exhausts (at your power level), spend it on what Henz said above as you will get a far better result.

And yes since the car is a daily driver, I want to keep it under 200rwkw's.

lol. mine had 210 stock dude......

now 365rwkw, stock bottom end.....

I wouldn't go past 300 on a ba bottom end, for safety reasons. That and your gearbox will break before anything else.

I personally wouldn't even bother modding a 5 speed (In fact I didn't I just sold the car) when your gonna be up for a new gearbox pretty much straight away. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but it was a bad choice to buy the car.

I do know how you feel but as I made the same mistake

when I bought my first XRT, now I try and stop other people from doing the same.

Oh and if you've been around the forum for a while you should of known to steer clear of them.

MIC, read the question - its for BA not BF

You will not reliably get 550 through a stock BA! :bangcomputer:

Blueboost did 600rwkw through a C4 or Powerglide & completed many passes at the drags on a stock BA motor. Can be done, just not recommended for longevity
