Anyone had any experience with either of these units from the aforementioned suppliers.

Essentially, the ASL unit is operated by remote whereas the Hi-TV unit is Touch Screen that requires a thin screen added to the front of the factory screen......both units are FG specific.

Also interested in fitting the Hi-TV PURE III Tuner but wondering about antenna choice......roof mount will obviously have the best reception but necessitates the drilling of a hole in the roof.

I'm prepared to drill only if it's like chalk & cheese between the other style antennas.

Jet, when you say "ho hum", are you saying they don't work ie. you have to poke the sh*t out of them to work properly or the idea of sticking something over the factory screen is not ideal??

Touch Screen would be the ultimate (as you don't have another remote to worry about) but if they don't work well, remote starts to look more attractive.

Would be nice to see one in action.

Don't get the setups with a remote. Trust me.. you'll regret it.

I have a touch screen one and it's awesome. I can update the software and/or maps just via an sd card as well.

Is that the Hi-TV Sat-Nav with the touch screen that you have and if so, does the stick on overlay affect the picture image in anyway, ie. increased glare or picture not as sharp?

Dont get the one with the remote - pain in the but! Get the overlay cant tell the difference..

as long as the overlay is done right if its diy I be very vigilant to make sure it was mickey mouse in the past overlays havent been flash but maybe much better now
