GOOD STUFF guys and gals...I appreciate the advice.

After reading thru those posts, it would seem logical to ditch the sunny and grab the brakes instead...

can you buy the genuine Ford 18's aftermarket? I know Expensive Daewoo were not allowing this to be achieveable for the Monaros...I can check anyway.

colour...yeah, good point re: the cleaning...now we have *beep* around with the water restrictions, any dark colour may prove difficult to keep clean. I saw lightning the other day...a new colour to the range!!! anyone got one?

thanx again, Iw ill keep you guys posted and updated!

NEWBIE! :hiwelcome:

hehehe and an ex-Holden NEWBIE at that! <_<

Who says Expensive Daewoo owners can't be re-educated? Onya, mate ... come on over to the side of good and right.

Now you've made a good start, but we need to do something about that specification list of yours ... don't get me wrong, you just can't go wrong with an XR6T, but you can improve the experience with a little tweaking of the options list.

XR6T manual of course (Of Course!)

Phantom (still not convinced) (NO NO NO! This is a big mistake, did you actually look at the colours offered in the BA range. If you did, you would have realised that there is only one standout colour ... HgAg! That's Mercury Silver ... now go back and have another look. When you come to your senses and choose the right colour, we can talk about admittance to Team HgAg and all the special privilleges that come with it.)

18" alloys (Nice!)

Premium Sound (Oh yeh, now you're talking. Got your Zeppelin CD's handy?)

Sunroof (Don't do it, takes a long time on the assembly line and others have had squeaks and noises, etc.)

Momo shifter (Love mine.)

Sports Steering Wheel (Don't have one, but those who do swear by them)

Now for the stuff you missed ...

You just MUST get Premium Brakes ... absolutely awesome!

Leather Interior is well worth it IMO ... mmmmmmm, leather.

Another absolute must is the Estrogen-Free Pack. Trust me, you'll appreciate this one every time you want to hit the loud pedal ... and generally that's everytime you take it for a spin.

Ok, so you have a few pointers to start with, now get back down to the dealer and right the wrongs, buddy!

... oh, and welcome to the site.

NOOO!!! Not hgag!!!

I'd go Blood orange or Citric, Sunroof is good

And a lot of people say that the auto is a better package with the XR6T, BUT MANUAL!!!! How could you not!

Congratulations on the changeover mate, holdens do suck pretty bad huh?

lol

Hope you like your T and welcome to fordxr6turbo.com

Chrisso

A big welcome, hope U enjoy your time here , it gets addictive.

As per other posts , go the Premium Stoppers and Sound

before anything else.

Have U considered Winter White ? Looks good and is not common as muck. This will also allow you to sit back and enjoy from a far the inevitable "Colour Wars" battles.

I'll just add my little bit. Good option list, but go the leather and the premium brakes. I did, and I am damn happy with them.

Welcome.. as you can see I did the same as you... Wasnt worth changing from a vt series 1 to a vx.. IMHO.

just a word of warning, stay away from grey.. whoever owns a GAGG (as in choke) seems to be a bit... well you know, shall we say special????

I love the manual... leather, im not too keen on... I will always think its only one step up from vinyl and just as sweaty.

Good choices all though, keep up the good work
