Mate of mine let me babysit his BF XR8 for a month whilst he went on holidays overseas. Boy it was great around Reefton Spur - sure it was heavy nosed but that sound when I could accelerate out of the corners awwwwwww :turboboink:

I had a xr8 for a couple of years,it went well but as they said the rev limiter sucks and it was pretty dangerous in the wet with no traction control!

I traded it in and got a xr50 turbo ute and the fg would have blown the doors off my xr8 xr8.jpg

always had a soft spot for the xr8. but if I had to get a 8, don't shoot me for saying this, but would have to be a gen3. cheaper to get power out of than the ford, and you can pick up a second hand motor now for about $1500 to $2000. on ebay a second hand xr8 motor is still around $5000. and the Expensive Daewoo is not as front heavy. just my opinion, fords are best with the 6T and Expensive Daewoo for the 8.
