Have recently purchased an after market turbo as a replacement for the existing BA setup following an oil starvation issue to be the main turbo bearing.

Have it all bolted in nicely and I'm putting the final touches on when I've discovered two small diameter vacuum lines that went to the orginal turbo setup that I can't seem to find a place to put them on the new setup

Does anyone have a picture/explanation of the old setup I could look at that will tell me where these should go?

Any photos? there is a vac line from the boost sensor beside and slightly below the battery, to a vac fitting on the front on the factory turbo housing.

Hose from front cover goes to top of boost solenoid and the bottom hose of the solenoid goes to the turbo wastegate actuator.

Brilliant - that really helps.

One last question - as this is an after market turbo, it came with the actuator linked via a vacuum pipe to the main housing.

Now that I have this bolted into the XR6, should I run the solinoid vacuum hose to main housing (as per above quote) and the other one directly to the actuator?

In other words - loose the direct housing to actuator vacuum link and run vacuum pipes as per the quote above?, alternatively should I just tap into the current direct actuator vacuum link?

If it is a factory style turbo hook up the lines as per my other post, just remove the line that came on it.

Has your BA been tuned at all? Do you know what PSI spring is in the new actuator? If it is higher then what you have been running previously you will run into problems.

No - its the orginal factory actuator so shouldn't be any problems with that

New turbo fitted - as per the instructions supplied with regards the boost vacuum lines.

All good
