Sounds like you've got an electrical problem.Is the cable tight on the starter motor etc? It could also be a loose earth. I haven't had the issue in 2 weeks since swapping batteries. But today it happened again. Took 3 tries to try and get it to crank. Finally cranked, got home started it numerous times and it was fine... any more ideas?
