October 1, 201016 yr #1 My manual xr6t is going in for a service 2000k's old. It's getting checked for some issues. A couple of things. When in neutral (stationary) and the clutch out, it makes a tick tick tick tick noise. If I push the clutch in the noise disappears. That's what I'm getting looked at. Any ideas what this could be?Second, when I take off I can hear a sort of 'creaking' noise from the rear. It's also apparent when I come to a stop as well. I'll get them to check that out too, same question... any ideas?Last, the gearbox is clunky as, I know this is just how the manuals are but yeah. It also bounces and moves around quite a bit (the stick). Cheers.
October 1, 201016 yr #2 It would prolly help if you told us what your ride was - BA BF FG and Mk I or II? Also, your mileage is hard to interpret - you mean 2000km or 200,000km? Edited October 1, 201016 yr by EvilDaifu
October 2, 201016 yr #4 I have as slight ticking now after the skidpan - not sure what it is. It goes away after the car warms up. I'll prolly get it checked out at my next service with Pit Lane. Not bothering me much at the moment but I know it would bother you as your car is brand new. I had the same thing coming from driving a Mercedes which is silent as to sitting in a BA again and hearing willy wonka's chocolate factory sometimes If you take it to Ford and they can't find the issue under warranty and it's still worrying you - try taking it to a tuner in your State and pay out of your own pocket to get peace of mind. Depending on whereabouts you are - plenty of us on here can suggest some good tuners you could see. Reason I suggest them is they know you are paying for results and won't bull sh*te you around - and they see XR6Ts day in day out so know all the common issues and how to resolve them. Ford ought to but you may get some apprentice who may not be as skilled at diagnosing what is going on.Just my opinion
November 11, 201015 yr #5 I have the same thing going on. fg xr6t 50th man sedan ~150kms. I would say it's a strong ticking noise or small knocking noise seemingly coming from underneath when the clutch is out and in neutral. Stops the moment you push the clutch in. The noise level varies with each clutch release. I might try out more conditions tomorrow to diagnose. Edited November 11, 201015 yr by giantlobster
