Does anyone know if the inlet opening of the FG XR8 snorkle (right hand side of photo) fits correctly on the plastic shroud and under the bonnet of the FG XR6 when its closed with squashing anything or does it need to be cut and tweaked ?

The XR8 airbox and snorkle fit, with a little bit of trimming.

The opening of the XR8 snorkle is designed to fit an XR8 bonnet, as such the leading edge needs to be trimmed back.

Also don't forget to drill two new holes in the bonnet underside and move the rubber seal back so that it doesn't block the new larger snorkle opening.

The fit with the shroud is not perfect and does sit a little wonky because of the cold side piping. I got a little strip of carpet wedged under the airbox to lift it up and give a bit of clearance between the snorkle and cold side piping, also makes for a good fit with the shroud.
