Hey guys,

Recently my 03 xr6t steering has been starting to play up, when driving I can feel every bump through the steering and it jumps all over the place :-S and when I take a bend seems like the tyres aren't aligned and it screeches like crazy, its so bloody dangerous ive parked it up until I get it fixed, in the wet it understeers so much.. got no control of it what so ever. its got bilstein suspenson and lowered king springs all round.

I know that its got something to do with the front end bushes but not quite sure which bushes align and adjust what. not much experience in suspension stuff.

Anyone know what could it be? or are the BA bushes know to be crap, and what manufacturer to use? I live in Penrith. So any suggestions as to who to take it aswell

greatly appreciated

Cheers Tam

129 Coreen Ave Penrith, Tamz - come past the workshop and we'll sort it out for you mate :sleepystuff:

Has your steering rack been changed at all? Alignment recently? Did the problem just develop over night or has it gotten worse over time?

Cheers

Pat

Try running engine with lid off power steering pump (not driving... Just running engine)... Before you drive to Pats place... Turn the steering wheel etc as well before you turn it off and put the cap back on. See if it makes any difference...

Beg, borrow, steal or credit card it, but get it fixed by someone in the know. ie Pat. It's just to risky being the front end. And get it done right the first time. Like how you want it. Would be cheaper in the long run than having to pull it all out again.
