My turbo has been whining for 3 years and gets louder as you accelerate but it does not effect performance so I dont intend repairing or replacing it. Wives are a different story, they whine a lot and it gets louder as they get older. I highly recommend replacing a whining wife.

How loud is this whine? I love the whine that turbo's make. Is it really loud? Louder than the turbo off a big truck?

Lol, I don't think I can even pull together enough for a spotters fee at the moment. I will keep these offers in mind. Think I may have to live with for a while and save for the repair/replace/rebuild unless I can convince Ford to change their mind. Meanwhile here's hoping the turbo doesn't go or do any damage before that happens.

It sounds like a high spinning small kitchen appliance. Never sat in a truck before.

Cheers for the advice peeps, $7k compared to 1,2 or 3 thousand weighs a whole lot diff on my mind.

take your car to another dealership and try your luck.

Also get the original ford dealer who replaced your turbo the first time to look back and see if the inline oil filter in the turbo supply line was replaced, if this wasnt replace when the new turbo went in, then they have nobody to blame but themselves and you should sh*t it in claiming a free turbo.

but at the end of the day, to all of you ppl who run 15,000kms before an oil change, you deserve it honestly.

7500kms MAX.

He said he changes it himself every 7500... Fraud would charge $350 to put $60 worth of oil into it...

I got mine swapped a month ago under warranty - they dumped my brand new edge oil and put in their standard 10w-30 without asking me, then Ford informed them after the fact that the oil and filter aren't covered. They tried to charge me $90 for dumping my $100 oil which now needs replacing again. I argued and ended up paying $17 for the filter only.

Point being though mine was 90,000ks / a week shy of warranty expiring and they swapped it. Simon from XFT here put in a good word even though his usual mate wasn't working at the time which may have helped get it done. Car is stock, never tuned, only F6 intake and K&N filter.

I was sh*tting bricks a little thinking they might deny it though. Hope you can get it done at a different dealer mate.
