Axle Tramp

Hi guys,

I have been getting axletramp since I had my ute lowered, over a year ago, was extreamly bad at first so I took it back they then put koni shocks in to try stiffen it up but no good.

so then took it direct to falkrum (who supplied the springs) who custom made a new set, adding an extra leaf which helped but still get tramp on hard take offs and that made it sit 20mm higher

I have been reading that some ppl have had tramp issues due to cracked bushes, which bushes are these? and whats involved in changing them, and what is reacommended?

Also the rearend seams to have alot of sway (so to speak) when hittin corners hard, which seams to be getting worse and is now dangerously noticeable, would these 2 things be from a related problem?

I am thinking its the bushes at the end of the leaf springs but would like ppl's opinions.

I have a set of rtv tramp rods and mounts that will short that shiit right out.

They are brand new, they need a bit of fab work to fit them but you dont have to weld anything to the car or diff housing

they did put tramp bars in, not sure if they still are in there though

but they went on top and clamped down (didnt really do sh*t) are the ones u are talkin bout those that go underneath?

problem with those I though, is they sit down too low and will hit the road when it gets a bit rough

if they where fitted and didnt make a difference IMHO either

A; not fitted correctly

B: you have another major issue.

I would start buy making sure the arse end is actually bolted in correctly and everthing is aligned properly
