400Rwkw?

Hey guys,

Just been thinking and pricing up what its gonna cost me. Tax time coming soon.

I got currently

- Nizpro stage 2 plenum kit with mkII cooler and 4' intake

- Nizpro springs

- 4" dump / 5" cat / Twin 2.5" zorst (quad tip, dunno how much dif it makes)

- Ported turbo gate and 12 psi actuator

- Walbro intank pump

- 60lb Siemens injectors

- Textralia Twin Plate (not installed)

Planned

- Bosch 044 and billet FM surge tank

- 17.5 psi actuator (nescecary?)

- Spool rods

Would this be safe and sufficient for 400rwkw in a Ba 6 speed manual?

If so, whats the next things that is likely to go bang and at what power level?

getting close to 400 is a grenade. I had 420rwkw for only a few months before my engine went, start saving for that new engine

haha nps mate, I wouldnt even dare throw more than 340 on a standard set. So think I should be safe. No need for anything else?

actuator is over kill 17.5 psi means that is the Minimum boost you can run, after the actuator it (the boost) is controlled by the ecu and the ported gate fixes any prob there

do the rods definatly

Dont know how big the cooler and what type of intake u have?

u should then be around the 400 mark with the right tune and right size cooler and intake

Would a set of forgies be necessary for this?

Also is the atomic block different in thickness and/or material to the stock one?

Yeh I wasnt sure about the actuator. Ill stick with the 12 I got in it at the moment.

Its the nizpro big cooler (500mm x 430mm x 80mm I believe) , so I think 2.75" hot side / 3" cold side. Ive got a 4" pod in airbox which reduces to the size of the standard gt35/40 turbo intake.

If I pulled the engine apart I would do the pistons just because it costs so much to pull it all apart (the forged pistons are noisey and tick while idling)

Atomic use the standard blocks and do a crack test and sonic test to make sure the side walls are thick enough and wont crack, they also blueprint the block

Atomic rods feed oil up the rods to the gudgeon pins which I thought was a good idea

The cooler seems like its big enough, id do the mods and tune and if you don’t hit the magic mark do the cooler

im curious 2 see how many ppl are running low 2 mid 400's with just rods being done 2 the engine.
