Znoelli Rotors

I am not sure if anyone here has experience with ZNOELLIbrakes but we have just installed a set to a mates car.

As with most BA/BF this thing had the usual brake shudder although in this case he had taken it to a ford dealer to be fixed. $900 later he drove away with two new factory rotors, new pads and fluid.

I'm guessing nobody will be shocked to find out that within 2000 the thing vibrated worse than ever.

SO....strip it down and check left front bearing and hub....rooted. The hardening was gone from the bearing inner and frankly it is a wonder it hadn't welded itself together. Right side was better but still not good enough to stay.

Two replacement hubs from Repco should cure that.

I know DBA seem to be the rotor of choice on these forums however in New Zealand we suffer from the small problem of nobody actually having any stock of them. Airfreight from Australia is not a cost effective option so we went searching and came up with the Znoelli range.

In this case we have installed slotted and dimpled at both ends along with the Znoelli pads. Rotors, pads, fluid all for under $700 seemed like a reasonable deal.

I've not heard any feedback on Znoelli but 1200km later including 45 laps at a track day they are stopping hard and looking the business. So far so good.

If anyone else can offer opinions I'd be interested.

Hey man,

I think these may be my next upgrade too.

I spent about 1300 all around for fraud to do front and rear brakes still very avg... I only have standard brakes not premium brakes.

I think onsonvs has the Znoelli's fitted... check the NZ cruise thread.

Can you let me know if you fitted the premium sized brakes or standard rotors? I seen them on trademe but unsure what to get.... and I guess they can wait till I need them.

Thanks

I checked these again last weekend. (they are not on my car) After 2500km they have bedded in well and with repetitive hard applications show no signs of fade, shudder or any other ills.

The Rimutaka hill road is always a good test of brakes, particularly on an auto boat and it handled a particularly rapid drive over there with ease.

In short, cant fault them so far.

These were not the premium size....just plain old BA Turbo sizing.
