Need to vent, my BA is making me hemorrhage money.

You would expect these issues on a brand new system, but most of these things have carried over from previous models. I can no longer afford to repair things on this car. I'm more likely to be buying an Aurion as my next car instead of the FG like I was planning.

-3 doors have now had the actuator gears break

-Reverse gear does not work (5 speed manual)

-Tranmission mount in the cross member snapped

-Diff bush went ages ago

-Turbo needed a rebuild because the screening device is rediculous and caused it to starve

-Engine mounts are broken

-Power steering high pressure line is leaking through a seal which means the whole line to the rack needs to be replaced

-Car hardly idles and stall

Plus many more......

Please feel free to contribute to obvious engineering issues that plague these cars!

And what year model is your ba. How many ks. How hard do you drive the car

to be breaking mounts and the like suggests to me that you drive the car pretty hard.

The only issue I had with my ba was the diff. It had140k on when I sold it and was still going strong

160000 on the clock on my ba and the only things that were wrong with it when I traded it were 1 door actuator broke and the handbrake didnt work properly - I wouldnt call that a lemon

Busted transmission mount????

dude there is something your not telling us here.....

regular servicing with half decent oil would have prevented the turbo rebuild.

I have an 03' BA sedan auto with 120km on it. It runs a 12psi custom tune with cooler, piping, exhaust etc.

Turbo is still running very sweet and gets serviced every 5k.

my ba was fine... had 2 window switches replaced and some rear suspension bushes replaced and power steering pump replaced... (all under warranty)....traded it with 140.000kms on the clock and never had an issue... it was late 03 from memory and I loved it...

My NEW barina has has soooooo many issues and I bought it late last year as my daily and for work... it has 8,000kms on the clock and has broken like 5 times already... THAT'S A LEMON!!!!
