Hi all, I own a BA xr6 turbo 4 speed auto. I understand that with over 300rwkw I should start saving up to get the auto rebuilt. My question is, when is it time to upgrade the entire driveline, I.e. tailshaft, diff, driveshafts etc? Has anyone done this, and where is the best place to go in Melb? I recently broke the left driveshaft, and I'm worried more driveline parts are on the way. The car does constant 117mph at the moment. I'm going to upgrade to more power and I'm thinking I should look at doing the driveline first.

Cheers

Most people run the risk with the half shafts mate, the aftermarket options are very expensive so not many are keen to go there

The auto is a given, but diff and tailshaft are usually pretty reliable. If you plan on dragging more then look at a stronger tailshaft and loop and shimming up the diff

my trans is starting to strip with 350rwkw. first thing to do is put a good trans cooler on. pwr seem to be the choice...

expect to pay 3.5k -4k for a good rebuild/ hi stall if it pops.

I guess I'll be doing it soon.... :beerchug:
