1. Remove three screws for the underside plastic housing. Remove underside housing.

2. Transponder unit is then held on by one screw, remove this screw and unplug transponder unit.

3. Seperate clear housing from black base carefully

4. Use flat blade screw driver to twist and remove globe holder.

5. Note the way the wire is twisted on to the holder to form contact points. Remove wire from holder and the globe will be able to be pulled out.

6. Replace with colored LED globe of your choice and ensure you twist wire around the holder as it was before.

7. Plug holder back in with globe and test. If it dosen't work reverse the holder as LED's have polarity.

Then re-assemble.

Note that the lower steering housing has "spears" that lock into the upper housing. Also its easier if you remove the fuse cover.

The globe size was a t-5 wedge. I purchased them in a 5 pack in a plastic holder and had to carefully dis-assemble it to get just the led with 2x20 mm wires dangling from it. See picture below.

I'll post a pic tonight of the finished result.

It should only take about 15-20 mins.

One of the ones pictured above in post #2. They are a very small globe. T5 wedge I think.

By straightening the wires you can then release the globe from the plastic holder.

This globe then gets inserted into a different size globe holder on the transponder control board.

I bought a pack of 5 for $10 and I think I got gypoed.

Try autobarn for the globes. I got mine from a small independent in Penrith (HJC Motorsports on High Street)

The original globe is held onto the board by a twist holder. Once you straighten the wires on this globe it just pulls out.

Its a lot simpler than my long winded explantion.... I'm an office worker, so if I can do it, anyone can.

Did mine today well sorta, lol instead of changing the bulb I just brsuhed over it with red nail polish lightyl done, now it illuminates red
