Hey XRSics, added you in the first post. Do you have any comment on any other road conditions whilst you were up that way? We would be doing the same stretch along the Great Ocean Road by the sounds of it.

Also makes me seriously think we ought to post-pone this cruise until end of the 1st or 2nd week of February? What do those who have expressed an interest in this cruise think? Just that the Sunday before school starts may have a lot of people returning home from their camping/caravanning holidays along the Great Ocean Road - especially at the time which we will be travelling which is after 1pm in the afternoon.

So I am proposing a new date of Sunday 7 February 8:30am start? Please let me know if this is a problem if we make the change.

I can tell you there are some nice potholes on the GOR entering, and leaving Lorne. I had to complain to the council in

Torquay about them, hope they fixed them, some were real doozies..

There is a HUGE pothole on the LHS of the road as you come into Lorne from Apollo Bay.

When I mean HUGE I mean massive. Rim Buster for sure.

If people take CB's then the lead can atleast tell the guys behind about it.

As far as I remember, there was no real pot holes, except for 1 on the torquay side of lorne that was average size. I didnt see the one on the apollo bay side, but I could have just missed it or its been fixed. (27th - 28th Dec)

Must be fixed, I have happy snaps of them.

The biggest was near the Lorne pier, and one just as you entered Lorne after the twisties 25/12 .
