Just getting the last of the paper work done for ordering my new fg turbo ute. I have a ba mark1 turbo sedan and it has premium sound, I have orded the lux pack for my ute and it says 8 speaker sound system is part of the premium sound that's in that pack. I told the dealer that I didnt understand how a ute can have 8 speakers and if I pay for 8 I want 8. They assured me if it says in the book it has 8 then it has 8.

Can some one clarify this, with some pics maby? Would be nice if it does but it just seems odd?

Im not going to pay full prices for something that doesnt exist, ill atleast use that againsts the dealer to get some extras.

It only has 6 mate. 2 behind the seats, 1 in each door trim and 2 tweeters. It is a typo in the brochure and I think you will find there will be a clause in the brochure covering Ford and there dealers from any mistakes or changes made to the vehicles.

Who needs two extra speakers when its in full song anyway?

Haha, ok well thanks for that mate. 6 is plenty of speakers, but that's not the point, my dealer is adimant that there right. Any way 6 speakers in such a confined space would crank hard none the less. Still think the lux pack should be cheaper scince the utes are missing some of it. Isnt the lux pack $4k in the utes and $5 or $6k in the sedans?

Regardless I paid $3600 for the option on mine so the dealers do have a bit of room to move.

is this the same for a BFII ute? Ute doesnt receive the sub or amp does it?

I have got the Lux pack in an ute, it has got 6 speakers and no sub.. I am wondering of they class a 2 way speaker as 2 speakers in the glossy pamphlet ?

Yeah they count the splits as two speakers.

Dont get too excited about the sound. My G/F 2003 Honda Euro sounds far better than my ute with the premiunm sound. Sure it's ok, but does not have good bass.

I got it mainly to get the colour screen. I hate that poxy dot matrix one they have standard.

Tab is correct , Ford classify the front door speakers (2ways) as 2 speaker each. This is the same as the G6ET where there is two missing when talkin to for they say there is two in the front door. This has been mentioned in other forums.

I installed Dynamat on the back wall after about 3000 km and I believe it reduced road noise slightly but made the stero sound alot better.
