Dark Argent 19S - Which Of These Tyres Are Better

I am buying some dark argent 19's and I have had quotes on five different tyres. Just wondering which tyre to go for.

The size I am looking at are 235/35/19. The options are:

Pirelli P Zero tyres (I think 2008) - $285

Toyo T1R - $364

Kumho KU31 - $226

Kumho KU19 - $252

Falken FK452 - $250

[R-SPEC]

Get 245's and get some Maxxis Victra MA-Z1's. They're about $240ish a tyre. If you can't get them get the Falkens

The wheel size is 19 by 8 with a 35 offset. I was told that the 235/35 were the ones to get as they are a closer ride height to original and won't affect gearing. I don't know much about tyres.

235 do not suit a 19x8 at all, they pull the tyre in and expose the rim to damage, 10mm might not sound like much, but it makes a difference to protection. LOL at suggestion of noticing a difference in gearing, not on such a small change with a torquey engine.

The stock tyre size that FPV put on both the 18inch and 19 inch fpv wheels is 245 35 18 or 19

the tyre width which is the 245 Number has no affect on rolling diameter at all meaning it will not affect your speedo the 35 Number is the tyre Height so yes going to a lower profile tyre such as a 30 or even lower will affect your speedo. All FPVS run a 35 profile stick with that you wont have a problem. also 245 struggle for traction as it is go 245 not 235. last rant all Ford speedoS are callibrated to be up to 5km under the actual speed limit to allow for this. dont stress mate even 20s would not really affect it. get the Falken 452s they are a amazing tyre

Well, actually the 245 will have an effect as the profile is a percentage of the tyre width. so a 245/35 will have a lower profile then a 295/35..

Switching from a 235/45/19 to a 245/35/19 will increase ride height by 3.5mm and at 100km/h the speedo is out by 1.1km/h.

The difference is so minor it is not worth worrying about, I've done it many times with no notable difference.

Edit: Sorry, overall diametre changes by 3.5mm but is only the bottom half of the wheel affecting the ride height, so ride height increses by 1.75mm......sounds a lot more reasonable too.......

I just bought the Federal Evos in 245 35 19 and so far im very impressed. All I have to compare them with is the Dunlops the FG F6's come out with and the Federals are a far better performing tyre.

Im selling Evo's at the same price as 595-SS's for the next week only. $220 $199 each.
