that's one of the many things you need to do, yes.

Do a search on user Ninka, he did a swap from a 4 speed auto to a 6 speed, wasnt exactly performed over a weekend with a few mates over and a lunchtime bbq......

I have zf I am keen on swapping for a t56. I think its pretty straight forward apart from mine being a ute so will need a manual out of a ute or the tail shaft wont match.

Things need to swap.

- Gearbox

- Loom

- tail shaft

- Ecu (tuner can help with that one as it should be just reprogramming the xcal to new ecu and re-flashing)

- Pedal box

- Gear knob and surround.

Have I missed anything? I am only going on what I have researched so far.

Diff ratios. 2.73 (auto) vs 3.45 (man), one would be a breathless screamed, the other lazy.

so that would just be a diff swap too wouldn't it? anything else?

Going from any auto to manual = piece of cake. Been done many times.

Going from manual to bw 4 speed or zf auto = nightmare central.

Going from bw 4 speed auto to zf 6 speed auto = nightmare as well. Been done only once as far as im aware.

Doing a swap could affect your resale as well. Some people would notice the dash difference and be questioning it.

Quick check through Ford will quickly indicate the variance too. The VIN will clearly indicate what it left the factory as.

Guys I don't have plans on selling this car.... ever
