Plastic Welding

Featured Replies

Does anyone one on here from Vic do plastic welding or bumper repairs. I need to fuse a PVC component

to a Poly interior trim piece. If pictures or specifics are needed, I will supply them to an email

address.

Thanks In Advance

Hey, thanks for the link. I had a quick look at their kits, but I don't think they

will do polyprop. I might need the services of a professional for this job.

Mate, I think most panel beaters shops do this dont they?

If not they will know someone that does!

Had some stuff done months back by a panel shop - just did a google search and then did the ring around!

Hope this helps...

sh*t of a thing this poly. I am making a pair of custom tweeter pods and need to bond some PVC, to the door mirror garnishes.

3M make a glue but you need to buy their applicator and nozzles, nearly $150 for something I will never use again.

I found a glue that does the job and is cheap. Loctite All Plastics Glue, works the treat.

Two part formula, has an activator and some snazzy super glue. You can also prime and lightly coat the

areas that will need filling then, your bog or epoxy will stick to the adhesive that's been laid down, it will

be a good strong bond.

Finally finished the tweeter pods, I think they look good? I will post more pics and start a new thread when the install is finished, I am using Rainbow CS265 Vanadiums

for the front stage.
