Looking at getting some bosch 968s and wasnt to sure about the flow matching side of things. I will be buying brand new. Do they come flow matched or do u have to take them somewhere to get it done. I wouldnt have a clue as to who does that sort of thing. Any assistance would be great!

Although I don't have the specs in front of me, Bosch injectors are built to tight tolerances regarding flow rates.

Flow matching involves getting a heap of injectors, testing their flow rates on a test bench, and then grouping them together in sets of similar flow rates. To flow match 1 set would involve drilling the smaller flow injectors to match the largest injector.

Normally flow matching is done by a high volume supplier, as mentioned they need a lot of stock to be able to go through the injectors and group them acording to flow specs. The matched sets are then on sold to resellers

getting the amount of fuel equal is one thing, but getting the individual cylinder's AFR equal is another. Because the air distribution to each cylinder is different, amongst other variations including dynamic and static compression, it's a numb debate.

How many people go this far in flow matching individual cylinders? Surely it will be quite normal to just flow match the injectors and leave it at that or is there far more to it?
