Hey guys,

I've picked out some 19's for my MKII XR6 and figured I'd have to lower it too.

So I went to a place in Tuggerah NSW and they quoted:

Bilstein Shocks and King Springs fitted = $1,610

Monroe Shocks and King Springs fitted = $1,005

Buy it Now eBay pricing from Online Performance Autos is as follows:

Monroe GT Sport Shocks delivered = $472

King Springs delivered = $289

Total Monroe and Kings on eBay = $761

What does everyone think about the fitted quote from the shop? Do they have much room to move, is installation a time consuming job?

I'de love the Bilsteins but are they worth the $600 premium? What do you recon I could get them down to?

Any opinions or advice would be much appreciated

Cheers

the only problem with supplying the parts is if any fail you will be charged r&r...Then need to run around to have the parts replaced...If they supply and fit any problems with the parts they will repair or replace for free...Had my Fg lowered by wholesale suspension advertisers on this forum....Drop senna a pm ...See what he can come up with on price... :beerchug:

Bilsteins were $940.00 & Kings $240.00 I also added whiteline adjustable sway bars, huge difference much more precise could probably do with a even heavier coils on the front.

I bought king springs from sprints for $240, and had my tuner install them for $150. Are your current shocks that bad that you need new ones?

stock shocks are good for 40k at best.......in any case, the Bilsteins are far superior out of the box. Even if you think your shocks are ok.......they probably arent. Put the Billies in and you will notice straight away

The car has 54k on it, but I thought if I got lowered springs I would need shocks too, as in the stock shocks are too big or wont last or something?

Wow those bilstein prices are looking much nicer, yeah I might message senna and see what he can do, and yeah I'd be in on a group buy. Can anybody recommend any suspension shops around the Central Coast / Newcastle area for fittment?
