September 7, 200917 yr #2 The link suggests they can be REFUELLED at a rate of 12 litres per second Edited September 7, 200917 yr by ronburgundy
September 7, 200917 yr #3 17. The refuelers used in F1 can supply 12 litres of fuel per second. This means it would take just 4 seconds to fill the tank of an average 50 litre family car. They use the same refueling rigs used on US military helicopters today.
September 7, 200917 yr #4 Author The link suggests they can be REFUELLED at a rate of 12 litres per second Yes, but she ( Dr Andi Horvath) is the one that got it wrong last night. She made some " green " comments about the 12 Litres per second fuel use of F1 cars. One of the three contestants was in to F1.
September 7, 200917 yr #5 She did??!! Yikes! No doubt they use a lot but she's just being silly now.She really reckons they go through 720 litres per minute?! Wow.
