:alien: Hello People I was after any information on the premium brakes package and if anyone has them on there Ba falcon. I have ordered them for my car thinking they where BREMBO but only recently discovered that they are a in house design by PBR but fords wana charge $2990 same kinda money that you can get brembos for. Is there noticable better braking power.

We've got the premiums and like you say they arent Brembos, they are reserved for the FPV cars.

l wasnt able to drive a standard car back to back with a car equiped with the premiums so cant comment on the difference, but can say that the brakes are excellent. Whether they are 20% better or only 5% better than standard l wouldnt know.

l figured you can never have too much brake power, and with the grunt of the XR6T, we decided to go for the premiums.

I originally ordered mine without Premium Brakes as I thought the standard ones were fairly good.

I then had a chance to drive one of the press cars with them and the difference was significant.

So my order now has the Premium Brake Option. I agree with the comment you cant have enough brakes and for resale I am sure the factory option will be better.

:alien: I know the premuim brake package consist of 325mmx32mm vented and sloted front disc and rear are 303mmx20mm ? vented and sloted but no talk about calipers does anyone know if the front are 4 or 6 psiton and back are 1,2 or 4 piston. I have not seen any on a car yet but however I have seen the ford GTHO falcon at the ford discovery centre fittied with FVP brakes Blue in color and think that's what I will recieve on my car, these look trick. Any Technical detail I will be greatful.

Premium are I belive 328x28 vented, rear standard (non vented) 303x16..

Fronts are still single sided twin piston, rear single piston. Pretty sad for the money charged, but adiquate for the task.

Personally I would save my money and get the standard caliper spaced with a $25 peice of metal, then fit the 328mm discs for conciderably less money.
