Forum Display At Cairns Auto Spectacular

After some interest has been shown by a few people & upon getting approval from the mods Beau (XAH03) & I are looking at putting a display together under the forum banner. At this point we're looking for genuine interest from those that would like to display there pride & joy. We're not just looking for the extreme all levels of cars are more than welcomed & encouraged to participate. Yes that means you CAM.

We've only just started to throw around a few ideas between us in reagrds to what we'd like to see from it. We'll be trying to get some stickers made up for the cars at a minimal cost to participants which can be kept on by all means after the show as it will be approved signage. We were also looking at making a template up where you can fill in all the info on your car with mods & so on then we'll get you to email it to one of us so we can laminate it for you. We'll give you the info sheet back on the day to display on your car, you might like to bring a dyno chart as well if you so please.

The cost of the weekend is nearly negatable. For a club display for the weekend it's only $100 so we can divide that between us when the time comes.

Any ideas or suggestions are welcome as well.

From here we'd like to try & make meetings/cruises a regular occurance. If/when this does happen including at the show a level of conduct will need to kept under normal forum cruise rules which will be enforced. The last thing we need is giving out little community a bad name. Saying that there will be plenty of time for beers & talking crap because after all we do this because its enjoyable.

I'm looking foward to it & will be there supporting it even if my car isnt ready. Fingers crossed to scare the crap out of a few V8 softies lol.

Are you guys camping overnight? If so a trailer freezer is a must!

Deonie (lil bodes) organised Motorvation 09 for us guys and girls (as usual, lots of pics in WA section) I think the main things were big tent to fit a few cars in etc. Provides a bit of shade.

I'm sure she'll read this and perhaps might have a few ideas that might help, but if not, shoot her a PM

nah, no camping as its in the centre of town & most of us live up that way or close enough to get home somehow. There will be plenty of beers im sure as its usually getting pretty warm at that time of the year. Its better this year because its abit earlier. Last year it was in november where it was over 40deg during the day so hoping for better conditions & bigger crowds this year.

I heard about motorvation sounded great.

lol. think I might have to make a call to the insurance mob and get my yearly free windscreen though. about 5 chips in it now so probably time. You guys gonna clean the things up there, or at home and touch it up once in cairns?

mums at edmonton so it wont be too far away to clean it up. chances are if it is done it'll be already in cairns & I'll only be comin up to be apart of the show & clean it up abit.
