Guys,

Does anyone know yet if the FG gears are better than the BA/BF sintered items?

Are the part numbers the same or different?

Also, what about the housings......are they any different? Re the relief valve size.

they would have 2 be better in some way, the fg have 6500 rpm limit.

but stuff all power over 5500 like BA-BF... the motors do love to spin to 6000 though

Most likely the same.

Both BF and FG have the cutout at 6250 rpm.

How come mine spins to 6500rpm before it hits the limiter?

Is there a soft cut at 6250 then hard at 6500rpm Venom?

Possibly.

Tachos aren't always 100% accurate either, but 6250 rpm should be where the cutout is, but as always there is variance.

I know with the autos it will allow the rev limit to be exceeded momentarily under 'certain conditions' (if engine is at optimum temp etc.)...maybe they've done similar with the manual on the FG?

lol I think it depends on how the cars feels. mine spins to 7000 if I flatten it at idle.

Is it that big of a problem with oil pump drive failure? Was there ever an issue with relief valve size?
