Need Help With A Basic Web-site I Am Building

Hi guys,

As the title says I have been asked by my aunty to see if I can put a website together for her new business she is starting.

It is only to be 6 pages; Something along the lines of Contact/Introduction/2 gallery pages/Who are we etc...

I will most probably be using templates as I am very rusty on web-page design. I've done it about 10 years ago at school and don't remember much.

Can anyone tell me how to go about putting this page together? I have no internet HTML editing programs such as dreamweaver and will probably use a premade template which I will edit.

If I find a suitable template, can anyone tell me where to go from there? I.e. how to edit it without dreamweaver, how to 'see' the site before launching it, how to put it onto the web?

Thanks guys, just a rough idea would be great. I'm sure I can figure some of it out, but I'd really value your input.

I've just stumbled across www.wix.com while doing some more research and it looks great.

Easy to use and looks like it can do what I want.

Hey mate,

I do a fair bit of site building at work.

So feel free to hit me with questions if Itec is unavailable.

You can edit the files with any text editor, Notepad ++ is not too bad. And you can view the site by just opening the files in Internet Explorer if you keep them in .htm/html. Also at a minimum test your site in Internet Explored and Firefox as they render pages differently.

A good free html/other scripting languages editor is source edit, just google it.
