You dont need a tuned XR6T to pass a Swift lol, but ive read that you can get piggy back systems which will have a "high boost" tune in it and because its essentially intercepting data to and from the ECU you can have a switch in your cabin to change from the tune to factory.

I forgot who does it but, a big tuning house in Sydney does it.

Read between the lines otherwise this forum would be shut down by the fun police :beerchug:

Yeah but I want to know because since I drive a auto there are two settings: Normal drive and then performance drive....surely I should be able to get it set that so when in normal drive I have low boost etc to save fuel then if I put it in performance drive I can have a higher boost etc this not the case???

The Performance mode only changes when the box decides to change gears yeah? It makes it hold gear to high revs and not change to a higher gear as early if you're not at WOT. It doesn't change the actual engine behaviour. I'm no expert though so if I'm wrong I'm sure I'll be corrected.

. A good tune done by a professional tune house will be suited to your car and give both economy and power when required

quoted for truth. when cruising on the freeway you won't be boosting anyway.
