Stef, Danny is correct, most forms of software and fuel systems are based on a pressure Delta, which is basically the pressure difference acting on both sides of the injector.

Even NA cars have a vacuum signal going to the fuel pressure regulator to adjust the pressure based on how much vacuum is in the motor.

Under normal driving there is a vacuum in the manifold which requires less pressure in the fuel rail to get the correct amount of fuel out of it, at full throttle there is no vacuum in the manifold, so if the fuel pressure was to remain the same, less fuel would be delivered due to the pressure delta.

So the vacuum signal is delivered to the regulator to keep this pressure delta constant so an even amount of fuel is being delivered as per the cars ECU programme.

I understand there's equal pressure on both sides of the injector but someone had a theory about the size of the orrifices and the size of the disc and how that pressure works against both. I'll just shut up now :)

Danny

The 80 lb figures have been rereleased and are different to your original figures, may be give them a try after modifiyng them for our fuel pressure

I'm thinking about buying some 60lb injectors but just notice this thread... can I use these 80lb seimens injectors on my bf xr6t as I've seen some on ebay for $460 but don't want to buy them if they are NO good.

unless you are chasing very high power levels or running E85 with heaps of boost, these will be overkill and you would be better off running an injector that is based on the power levels you wish to achieve

30degree cone pattern, single nozel, unlike the 60lb injectors

Nope. High Impedance.. Different plug type, EV6 instead of EV1, wiring adaptors required

single nozel as in oldskool Bosch spec or the N word redrilled jobbies?

I picked up a set of these for my F6 motor a few months back, will do the job nicely, as they are fuel and alcohol tolerant ;)
