The car has only done 42 000 and at 16 000 took it to ford they said there was no problem I beg to differ. there was actually only a very tiny bit of wear on the clutch's, just the three hot spots on the pressure plate and sandwich plate. it actually looked like there was allot of clutch flexing happening Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/54931-ford-at-its-greatest/ Share on other sites

Guest Guests Posted 23/02/09 11:58 AM Share Posted 23/02/09 11:58 AM Did you get another AP or go aftermarket?Hotspots are usually from riding/slipping the clutch but may have also been from uneven skimming &/or bad allignment from factory. Are there any cracks or fractures in it? Wanna sell?? Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/54931-ford-at-its-greatest/#findComment-829634 Share on other sites

Guest Guests Posted 23/02/09 12:16 PM Share Posted 23/02/09 12:16 PM They do have a very high take up point mate, it's normal.I thought mine was installed wrong when I first drove it because the pedal feel was like my corolla & the friction point was right up the top!
