Exhaust Crackle

Hey guys

I have an 03 model ba with 3 inch s/steel exhuast new dump pipe and I have it tuned and manage 292rwkw...

Now the problem is when im at WOT and the rev get towards 4, 4500rpm the exhaust backfires/crackles. and that's with throttle still on .....

Any ideas, I was thinkin mayb injectors and fuel pump and a retune..

Any ideas wats causing this ??

What other mods have you got? If you are on the standard fuel pump I would upgrade it asap

and if that is the case with that sort of power

your crazy and your tuner is an idoit id be flash tuning my car back to factory befor it blows up the engine

im no tuner and im aware every car is diff but that much power with standard injectors cant be good

id be getting it fixed asap befor you need a rebuild

post up your dyno print out if you have it because I wouldnt be surprised the reason your car has this problem now is the tuner has flooded your engine from about 3000rpm with fuel to try and give a bit more top end power higher in the rev range when your injectors where maxed out ......

more than likely a plug change would make the problem go away for a few days or weeks untill it returns

that is unless your fuel pump is also maxed out either way take it back to who ever tuned it and get them to do the job right

282 on std squirters GTFO with those mods , mate off to the tuner, and get off the gas. Go bang champ.

Ah yeah, you should be checking the AFR's on that tune - there's a good chance its quite lean and on a hot day it will get much worse
