26/01/09 02:20 AM26/01/09 02:20 AM #1 I have a noise in the rear of my BF Typhoon mainly if accelerating over bumps. It`s sorta like Boonk boonk etc.. I`ve replaced the shocks with Bilsteins and its less apparent but it can still rear its head at times.I`ve got under the car while up on ramps and had me old man select reverse - park a few times and looked at the whole thing. Now, the diff moves as it would, its got a rubber mount. But not excessively so but what do I know..The centre diff bush looks perfectly okay to me, still has the red rubber grease around it even. So, if its stuffed, is it visually shagged? I`d appreciate comments from those who`ve had to replace these bushes, thank you..It`s going into my local friendly Ford dealer tomo for inspection, but I`d still like all the inside info I can get. 26/01/09 07:33 AM26/01/09 07:33 AM #2 I think I have the same problem.over bumps the car rattles from underneath..but a friend of mine had the same problem and it turned out to be just the handbrake cable loose and hitting against something.in mine I lifted the handbrake slowly while driving over a bumpy road and the noise virtually stopped, also my handbrake is so loose that on a hill it doesnt work... when my car got impounded they couldnt keep it on the tow truck because the handbrake wouldnt hold it.. lol...all im saying is check the handbrake before spending $500 on diff bush replacement..

27/01/09 09:27 AM27/01/09 09:27 AM #8 I think I know the handbrake rattle you speak of, its sort of a jingle jangle noise. Abstractly, near every HQ-WB Expensive Daewoo ute I ever rode in made that noise.Mine makes THAT noise in town, I`ll just stay outa town I got my car checked by Ford today, they couldn`t find anything. Big shock there.AH well..
