Drag Tyres To Use

Hey guys

Just wondering what tyres and wheel size are you guys using down the quarter?

Running a FG F6, which is about to be boosted, so I will need some decent grip, not interested in using street tyres.

I have premium brakes fitted, 4 pots on the rear, so I don’t think 15 inch wheels will fit, looking at least 17-18 inch.

Not sure about the FG but 17's is the minimum for a the BF typhoon

I use Mickey Thompson ET Street Drag Radials 275/40/17

and they can be mounted to a standard BA/BF XR6 wheel. dont know if they will fit over the brembo's though

I believe 17inch wheels will fit over the rears.

Did you need to modify the wheels to fit that tyre size?

Use a BA or BF 17; there technically not wide enough but it works fine.

Don't get custom steel rims made steel rims are to heavy, rolling weight is worth double.

just slips straight on!
