Horn Sounds Shagged

Hello all,

Had the front bar off and re-sprayed, now the horn doesn't work properly. Sounds really muffled and farty and a little bit like a train.

Had a look at how they are wired up, each horn has a blue wire going to each, and on the same loom there are two black wires tied back not connected to anything.

Are the black wires meant to go anywhere?

And what is the correct way they should be wired??

All I need is someone to check their car and tell me how they are wired up, its just behind the grill

The loom goes to one horn, then the single black wire goes from the first horn to the second. I'm guessing your high tone horn is disconnected?

Well there is a main loom and then two small looms come out, each little loom has a black and a blue wire.

The black wires feed back into the main loom??

no horn ? get a bullbar, lol. mine was playin funny games aswell, but after testing different combos it worked in the end. just swap em around mate until it works.

I got the similar problem, horn sounds real weird, if you find out how its all ment to go post it up so I can check it out

With my horn, from the loom there is one blue wire covered in a black sheath going to 1 horn. Then between the 2 horns that is a single black wire connecting them. If your horn sounds dodgy check the connections for the wires and also how the horn is bolted onto the body. If the bolt/nut is loose you get a bad earth meaning crap horn sound.

if the bumper was off for a respray they shouldnt have touched the horns theres no need to.

Problem solved

FYI

Its all in the hips, or in this case all in the mounting bracket.

Bracket was loose and the horrible noise was vibration being transmitted into the front bar.
