Thought hard about a turbo, the perfromnace seems really good, but Ford were dsicunting the base XR6 to the point where there was over a $10k price differnece between the XR6 and XR6T. Whilst still coming to grips with, (and loving), the base model's power and handling, (my last vehicle was a 1995 Mazda van), I can see myself maybe wanting a bit more straight line grunt sometime in the future. I guess its doable to slap a turbo onto anything (my 1995 mazda van has one), but the question is - is it likely to be worthwhile doing it that way, or should I just sell the XR6 and get a T - (shudder - new vehicle depreciation) ? I was rather hoping to keep the FG for 10 years or so and had nievely thought bolt in a turbo, upgrade the brakes and get somthing done to the EMS for maybe $5k ?? Does anyone do this sort of conversion. As a seperate issue, my only (mild) grumble about the FG is the hands free kit. When I tried to sinc in my phone to it, it said ""recongised BF falcon"" and some of the features, eg the steering wheel paddle don't work, but Mr Ford won'r accept that they may have installed the wrong kit. Have offered to take it out and give me my $750 back though. Any thoughts ?Thanks in advance for any repliesCheersStu Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/52274-xr6-xr6t-conversion/ Share on other sites

If it works, then be happy, you could say BF = Bluetooth Ford. There is also a update for the bluetooth module that fixes a few problems. Guess I'll just stick with the base model and be happy that the fuel consumption is (albeit marginally), better. Still love the FG anyway.CheersStu Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/52274-xr6-xr6t-conversion/#findComment-781943 Share on other sites

MAny including me bought the N/A and took it back for a T. No regrets.I.B.
