December 1, 200817 yr #1 im wondering if anyone has thought about putting some 15/10" rims on the back with some 10 inch slicks or semi slicks...would these fit under the back no problems with rolled guards?
December 1, 200817 yr #2 they wont just bolt up "no problems". In a sedan forget it, the shock absorber will hit in a big way, in a ute it will work but you will need to modify the caliper in a certain way which does not affect the workings or strength of it at all.
December 2, 200817 yr #3 yes, can even be done in a sedan however would need to run offset of +15 and some serious guard work.
December 2, 200817 yr #4 like etm said, gonna need some "caliper modification" to get a 15" rim onto the ba, no chance in a bf.
December 2, 200817 yr #5 yes, can even be done in a sedan however would need to run offset of +15 and some serious guard work.EDIT: This is in response to the 10' question, not brake clearance......as the other blokes have said 15' diameter will be a problem, but 10' width is doable
December 2, 200817 yr #6 Author cheers for respons, so what is the minimum wheel diameter that can be fitted to a ba mk2 rear, with rolled guards, fitting a 10 inch tyre? basically I want a good hook up, what is the most acceptable wheel and slick tyre choice for a bolt on with not-too-serious guard rolling work....? thanks again in advance
December 2, 200817 yr #7 just get some 17" wheels and run drag radials, they are a very soft compound and will hook up well, full slicks and irs fords dont mix well.
